How to Place an Ad
Note: The illustrations used in this section are for demonstration only, and are not functional.
- On any page, click "Place Ads" in the blue bar at the top or bottom of the page.
- If you are a new user, the first thing you will need to do is set up an account. This is free and needs to be done only once. Then you can
post future ads at any time by entering the Username and Password you used in setting up your account. For details Click Here.
- Once your new account is set up, a screen like the one shown below will come up where you log in with the Username and Password
you used in setting up your account. Enter them and you are ready to place your ad.
Your ad may have up to 120 words.
Note: If you already have set up your account, you do not need to do it again. Simply enter your Username and Password after clicking
on "Place ads" and you are in and ready to place your next ad.
- Should you ever forget your username or password, click on the "Forgot" links to the right of the log-in table.
Properly complete the prompted form and the information can be emailed to you.
- The form where you insert the details of your ad is fairly self-explanatory. In addition, it will give you a preview of the ad. This allows you to see what your actual ad
will look like, and if you then wish to change something, you will have the opportunity
to go back and make the changes before the final submission.
- Note: The picture below shows the "Contact Information" part of the page where you submit your ad. It contains some useful hints.
- You may have your ad posted in up to 3 sub-categories in a particular category at no extra charge. This can be used if your ad fits into more than one classification.
Ads cannot, however, be placed in more than one main category (i.e. - both General Merchandise and Real Estate)
without resubmitting and paying for the second ad, if applicable.
- A picture may also be included with your ad. (There is no extra charge for this if you can do it yourself from your computer)
Some restrictions apply to the file format, size, and file size of pictures. These are:
File Format - Only .gif or .jpeg pictures can be uploaded
Picture Size - Limit is 230 X 230 pixels (Approx. 3 inches X 3 inches)
File Size - Limit of 50 kb
An error message will result if your picture is outside any of these limits.

We can also manually resize, edit, optimize, and post a picture for you if still needed. The cost for this additional service is normally $5.00 per picture (Plus GST).

- Editing Ads
Once you have placed you ad, the program allows you to go back in at any time and Edit, Remove, or Renew it.
To do any of these, simply click on the "Edit Ads" link and log in with your username and password.
Note: Renewing an ad will add 14 days on to the expiry date on the first renewal, 28 days on the second, 56 on the third and 112 on the fourth. For example, if you place an ad and wish it to run for 8 weeks,
you can simply go back in the same day you place it and renew it twice. Note: If this is a paid listing the program would then send you three separate invoices (One for placing the ad and one for each renewal) in this example.
Simply ignore these notices if you have a prepaid balance.
