    GREETINGS FROM PASTOR WICKS

Welcome to the Wetaskiwin Mission Church web site. WMC is a fellowship of believers who desire to grow in their love for God and for one another. In the words of Pastor and Author, John Piper, it is our conviction that, "God is most glorified in us when we are most satisfied in Him." This means that the chief aim of our lives is to glorify God by seeking to please Him in all things.

This can become a reality when we obey the two Great Commandments: "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind...and... You shall love your neighbor as yourself." (Matthew 22:37-39). The way we seek to accomplish this is through the consistent study of the Bible, God's inspired, infallible Word; joyful worship; fervent prayer and sacrificial service to one another within the local church, the community and the world.

If you are looking for a church home, we extend a sincere invitation to visit Wetaskiwin Mission Church. You will not find perfect people, but you will find people who struggle the same as you do. And you will meet those who know that Jesus Christ and the Bible provide the answers to the questions, and solution to the problems we all face in life.

The great news of the Gospel is that in Christ, we can have complete forgiveness of all of our sins; wisdom, strength, peace and hope as we live out our days in this world; and the sure hope of everlasting joy in the presence of God when this life has ended.

Please check out other areas of this web site to find out more about our beliefs and ministries. Thank you and God bless you.
